Health and Safety check:
- Check that all bags and belongings have been stored away properly.
- Make sure my client is sat comfortably and caped.
- Cover my work station with couch roll.
- Make sure all of my brushes have been washed and sterilised with Isopropyl ready for application.
- Complete a consultation form with my client and check for any Contra-indications.
- Wash hands with soap and water to prevent bacteria from being transferred to my clients face.
- Decant products onto my Palette to prevent cross contamination.
Products used:
- Eyeshadow lending rush
- Slanted lip brush
- Small round eye shadow rush
- Dark Matter Melt cosmetics eyeshadow stack
- Blow lipstick by Melt Cosmetics
- Blitzed Lipstick by Melt Cosmetics
- Annie's own foundation and powder.
- Black eyeliner from Mac Cosmetics
- White Eyeliner from Mac Cosmetics
- Mascara wands
- Tissues
- Cotton buds and pads
- Cleanser, toner and moisturiser
Technique:
- First of all I removed Annie's eye makeup. I asked her to leave her base on as it was first thing in the morning and she had a fresh base on.
- Once Her makeup was removed I started to apply the eyeshadow. I used each shade and layered them over one another. I wanted the colours to be strong and the eye to be a statement.
- I then applied a thin black line with my eye liner close to the lash line on her top and bottom lashes.
- I then applied black mascara to Annie's lashes.
- I then began to apply Melt Blow lipstick to the corners of Annie's lips and filled them in the middle with Melt Blitzed lipstick. I then applied black eyeshadow to the corners to create a darker look.
Outcome:
I was really pleased with the look I created. I managed to work with the 3 brushes really well and enjoyed the challenge. I became quite creative and I like opportunities that make me think on the spot. I love the colours I chose to work with and think they created a really cool look.
