playing with ideas. practise at home: Another idea for my final look.

After looking through all of my inspiration, I was playing with the idea of using dots. I love how they intensify the shadows and colour in the hollows of my face. They also give the looks quite an edgy look and i found them quite different. At the moment I'm just playing around with the colour and placement. I know that I want the eyes to be quite a big statement but I'm still looking at shapes that I like. This is one of my practise sessions at home. I have been using my Melt palette for all of my looks as I love the pigment and colours! I do know I want to use this in my final design as I feel that they do represent my Lady in waiting.
Products and Tools used:

  2. buffer brush x2
  3. contour brush
  4. concealer brush
  5. small eye shadow brush x3
  6. blending brush x2
  7. small eye liner brush
  8. mini eye shadow brush
  9. eyebrow brush
  10. powder brush
  11. slanted lip brush x2
  12. Mascara wands
  13. Illamasqua matte primer
  14. Illamasqua white base
  15. Illamasqua translucent powder
  16. Melt cosmetics palette
  17. Mac Diva lipstick
  18. Rimmel dark red liner
  19. Illamasqua liquid Liner in Havoc
  20. Supracolor White for the lashes
Technique:

  1. I applied the matte primer and buffed it in with the buffer brush.
  2. I then applied the white base and did the same with the Buffer brush
  3. I then applied the translucent powder all over to set.
  4. I then began applying the red eye shadow from the melt palette to the inner corners of my eye blending out. In a crescent shape. I then went into the crease blending out towards the brow.
  5. I went over this heavily with the purple from this palette. i wanted this colour very intense so I went over it blending until I felt it was right.
  6. I then contoured slightly in the same colour.
  7. I then applied the havoc liner as slight dots using the tip of the nib. I applied them closely close to the eye. Then I faded them out. I also did the same coming from the brow and the outer corners of the eye.
  8. I then lined and filled the eyebrow with the same liner, creating longer hairs as I went.
  9. I then shaped the lips with the dark liner and filled them with Diva Lipstick.
  10. The last thing I did was brush the Supracolor white through the lashes with the mascara wand.
