We had a lesson today with Sue and the lesson was about contouring. We first cleansed, toned and moisturised. Then we primed the face and then applied the foundation and concealer. We then watched a tutorial from sue about how to contour and then sat with our partners and started to contour.

We had to apply very gently and apply a darker cream medium to under the cheekbone (to make the cheekbones more prominent), under the chin (to create a more prominent jawline), on the temples and sides of the forehead(to make the forehead appear shorter) and lastly on the nose to make it looker slimmer. When you have applied the darker cream you can then start highlighting the higher parts of the face (the top of the nose and the forehead, the top of the cheekbones under near the corner of the eye, the chin and the jaw). This is all optional and really depends on your clients face shape and features.
I thought my application went really well and I loved how the contouring helped enhance my partners   features. I love how contouring brings out the cheekbones and how it creates shadows and dimensions on the face. I just need to remember to cleanse completely to prevent moving old makeup around the face.
Application.
